This Course Is Intended To Further Develop Studens' Abilities In Authoring And Programming Multimedia Applications, And To Introduce Students To Potential Ways Of Incorporating And Attaching Interactivity, Adaptivity And Intelligent Behaviours To Multimedia Applications. Systems Considered Will Normally Have Forms Of Interation Which Are More 'Intelligent' And Dynamic Than Those Normally Considered In Standard Human-Computer Interaction. Participants Will Examine A Range Of Issues Related To The Nature Of Interaction As A Communicative Process, And Learn To Apply A Number Of Models To The Design And Development Of Such Systems. It Will Also Look At Distribution Platforms Including The Important Area Of Web-Based Multimedia, Identifying The Key Issues In Web-Based And Cross-Platform Delivery, And Making Comparisons Between Authoring Environments And Systems. |
