Applicants Shall: For Active Grammar 1 (I) Have Completed The Foundation Certificate In General English Awarded Within The Hku System Through Hku Space; Or (Ii) Have Gained In The Hkdse Examination Level 2 In English Language; Or (Iii) Have Gained In The Hkcee Grade E (Syllabus B) Or Grade C (Syllabus A) In English Language Prior To 2007 Or Level 2 In English Language From 2007. For Active Grammar 2 (I) Hold A Certificate In General English (Introductory) Or Certificate In English Language Skills (Introductory) Awarded Within The Hku System Through Hku Space; Or (Ii) Hold An Active Grammar 1 Statement Of Achievement Awarded Within The Hku System Through Hku Space; Or (Iii) Have Gained In The Hkdse Examination Level 3 In English Language; Or (Iv) Have Gained In The Hkcee Grade D (Syllabus B) Or Grade B (Syllabus A) In English Language Prior To 2007 Or Level 3 In English Language From 2007. Applicants With Equivalent Qualifications Will Be Considered On Individual Merit. Applicants Need To Attach A Copy Of Relevant Result Letters And/Or Hkcee/ Hkdse Certificates To Their Applications. Active Grammar 1: 45 Hours, With A Focus On Verb Tenses, Word Order, Question Forms, Relative Clauses, Articles, Adjectives And Adverbs. Active Grammar 2: 45 Hours, Continuing The Work Of Active Grammar 1, With An Increased Focus On Helping Students: Gain Proficiency In Their Use Of Grammar, So That Correct Communication Takes Place, In Both Spoken And Written English: And, Work Out And Apply Grammar Rules For Themselves. Active Grammar 1 Is Set At The Pre-Intermediate To Intermediate Level Of English Language Teaching. Active Grammar 2 Is Set At The Intermediate To Upper Intermediate Level Of English Language Teaching. Though Restricted To Specific Language Skills, The Different Modules Will Help Students Become More Fluent And Confident Overall When Communicating In English. |
