Applicants Shall: (I) Hold A Certificate In General English (Introductory) Or Certificate In English Language Skills (Introductory) Awarded Within The Hku System Through Hku Space; Or (Ii) Hold A Level 1 Statement Of Achievement Of The Same Course Titles Under The Certificate In English Language Skills (Introductory) Awarded Within The Hku System Through Hku Space; Or (Iii) Have Gained In The Hkdse Examination Level 3 In English Language; Or (Iv) Have Gained In The Hkcee Grade D (Syllabus B) Or Grade B (Syllabus A) In English Language Prior To 2007 Or Level 3 In English Language From 2007. Applicants With Equivalent Qualifications Will Be Considered On Individual Merit. Applicants Need To Attach A Copy Of Relevant Result Letters And/Or Hkcee/ Hkdse Certificates To Their Applications. Applicants Who Do Not Meet The Above Requirements Or Are Unable To Produce Documentary Proof(S) Need To Take The Space English Course Entrance Examination. |

Active Grammar 2: 45 Hours, With A Focus On Helping Students: Gain Proficiency In Their Use Of Grammar, So That Correct Communication Takes Place, In Both Spoken And Written English; Work Out And Apply Grammar Rules For Themselves. Pronunciation & Fluency 2: 45 Hours, With A Focus On Helping Students: Develop Their Pronunciation Skills In A Controlled Environment; Familiarise Themselves With Aspects Of Pronunciation Like Individual Sounds, Word Stress, And Rhythm; Overcome The Specific Problems Faced By Chinese Speakers; And, Progress To More Fluent Speech. The Modules Are Set At The Intermediate To Upper Intermediate Level Of English Language Teaching. Though Restricted To Specific Language Skills, The Different Modules Will Help Students Become More Fluent And Confident Overall When Communicating In English. |
