Students Are Required To Attend 36 Hours Of Lecture/Tutorial Conducted By Barristers/Arbitrators And Coordinated By Academic Staff From The Cse Department. There Will Be 6 Hours Of Workshop To Put The Arbitration Law Into Practice. Topics Includes Arbitration Agreement, Arbitrators, Preliminary Meetings, Pleadings And Discovery, Uncitral Model And Choice/Challenge To Jurisdiction, Problems At The Hearing, Evidence And Award, Costs And Interest, Appeal, New York Convention And Enforcement Of Awards (Hk And Mainland China) And Construction Arbitration. Throughout The Semester, Students Will Be Required To Conduct Guided Self-Study Related To Arbitration Law And To Complete Assignments. Successful Completion Of The Subject Will Provide Students With 3 Credits Associated With This Subject.
